
Glenys Schuntner
Chief Executive Officer
Glenys joined RDA as CEO in April 2010, where her key roles are to facilitate and advocate for economic development outcomes across the north and north-west Queensland region.
Glenys’ previous roles include CEO of Townsville Enterprise, and senior roles at the Australian Trade Commission such as the National Manager Major Events, Senior Trade Commissioner Malaysia and Trade Commissioner Sendai, Japan. Glenys also worked for Northwest Airlines and retail travel agencies in Japan and Australia.
In her private capacity, Glenys is the Deputy Chair of the JCU Townsville Fire Women’s National Basketball League team and recently completed a 4 year term as Chair of the Tourism Reef Advisory Committee at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
Glenys is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia New Zealand and holds a Master of Arts from St Pauls University in Tokyo and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.

Kerry Dean
Executive Assistant
Kerry joined RDA in 2018. Kerry provides executive support to the RDA office, including diary management, office management, preparation of committee meetings, papers and agendas and other general office duties.
Prior to commencing at RDA, Kerry started and owned her own business for 3 years. In her previous Executive Assistant roles, Kerry has worked in a number of different industries, including engineering/mining, shipping, local Government and recruitment. Kerry works part time Monday to Friday.

Erin Kiernan
Project Officer
Erin joined RDA in 2019. Erin comes to RDA with experience in regional economic development, project management and administrative support.
Erin has worked previously for Townsville Enterprise Limited, and the Queensland Government in various roles. Erin works 3 days a week part time.
